History and Origin of Equal Protection
Lesson 19 shows how the equal protection clause prohibits state government from denying people "equal protection of the laws". Similar to due process clause, the equal protection clause places limits on government, and not the private individual. You should be able to really define and understand the equal protection of the laws and be able to explain, why neither states nor the national government can deprive people of equal protection of laws.
